Rosie Reviews: X-Men Days of Future Past

Last week I went to see the new X-Men movie “X-Men Days of Future Past” with a couple of friends. It was the midnight screening and it was just the perfect ending to an otherwise really horrible day.
I really liked the movie!!! I feel it was really well done, even though I personally think it lacked more in action. I do like that the movie wasn’t all about Wolverine (sometimes the X-Men movies tend to revolve around him), even though he did have a crucial role in the story.
What I really really didn’t like was Jennifer Laurence. No offence, I usually like her, she’s an amazing actress and all that…but I don’t think she was (at all) the right choice for this part! She lacks that…evil sex-appeal vibe that the previous actresses/models had. Her face just looked blank and expressionless in the blue costume/body painting/whatever that weird thing was, and I am starting to think they cast her in this particular movie to get more viewers.
All in all I really loved the story in a whole…I liked the whole back to the past thing going on, even though I do think that Hugh Jackman does not need to look that buffed up at the age of 45…it didn’t look natural anymore just…weird. At least to me, it looked like a weirdo on steroids! (even though he has a nice butt…just saying!). I feel like only some people can pull off that whole bulked up look after a certain age. But nonetheless, his performance was amazing, but what else do we expect from such an amazing actor?
Did you watch the movie? What did you think? I’d love to know!
